-----------------------MINUTES ---------------------------
Mike LaBonte conducted the meeting.

Call for patent disclosure:

- No one declared a patent.

AR Review:

- Mike: Add documentation requirements
  - This still needs more work

- Mike look into MeetingPlace issues
  - Mike will test WebEx internally first
  - Bob has trouble with this meeting but not Open Forum

- Mike propose IBISCHK bug for 5.5.3
  - TBD

New items:

Mike: What should be done with {OPTIONAL} checks?
- We found these:
  - 5.2.4. {OPTIONAL} [Model Spec] Pulse subparameters complete
  - 5.2.8. {OPTIONAL} [Model Spec] D_Overshoot subparameters track typ/min/max
- Mike: These are relaxations of requirements, not critical
- Bob: We can't require things that are not common
- Anders: But these would be useful
  - Specs have tables of overshoot cases
- Bob: These could be internal checks for those who need them
- Anders: We end up adding this info to IBIS files
- Moshiul: The DDR JEDEC overshoot spec description is not the same as IBIS
- Bob: The way overshoot is described has changed over the years
  - IBIS 5 has an improvement
  - But third party IBIS providers have trouble getting the info
- Mike: In IQ 1.3 we could delete: "IBIS data that is not considered critical"
- Pavani: Most datasheets do not have s_overshoot or d_overshoot
  - It is hard to convince people to put it into datasheets
  - They tend say absolute max voltage is enough
  - It is easier for vendors to have this in datasheets when JEDEC has it
  - We should keep it as optional.
- We made edits to IQ 1.3

1.1.3.	IQ2 Suitable for Waveform Simulation
- Pavani: The list of requirements raise questions
  - For C_comp doesn't follow normal rules for typ/min/max
- Mike: Should

1.1.5.	IQ4 Suitable for Power Analysis
- Bob: There is no parser for IBIS 5.0 yet
  - BIRD 98 adds gate modulation effects
- Mike : We could do one of:
  - Drop the IQ4 level
  - Spec IQ4 with only [Pin Mapping] required
  - Spec IQ4 with BIRD95 and BIRD98 also required
- We will discuss it next week
  - We might invite Syed Huq to explain BIRD 95

1.4.	IBIS Quality summary
- We need to address this, but meeting time has run out

Next meeting: 21 Apr 2009 11-12 AM EST (8-9 AM PST)

Meeting ended at 12:03 PM Eastern Time.
